Privacy Policy

1. Data stored on your device

Sinew is designed as a local-first app.

When you use the app, it may store the following information locally on your device:

• workouts and workout history
• exercise definitions and templates
• notes you create in the app
• cue settings and app preferences
• local insight events used for on-device summaries
• the current active workout session

2. Accounts

Sinew does not currently require a user account to use the core app.

3. Export and restore

Sinew allows you to create a local export snapshot containing app data such as workouts, templates, exercises, notes, and settings.

Exports are created only when you ask for them. If you share or save an export outside the app, the privacy practices of the destination you choose will apply to that copy.

4. Remote diagnostics and analytics

The current release of Sinew does not include remote crash-reporting or remote analytics services.

If a later build enables remote diagnostics or analytics, this page must be updated before release to describe the provider, the data involved, the purpose, and the retention posture for that exact build.

5. Health, fitness, and sensitive information

Sinew is intended for fitness and workout tracking. We treat workout and rehab-related information as sensitive.

We do not sell your health or fitness data.

6. How we use information

• run the app and store your workouts and templates locally
• restore your data from a local export when you ask us to
• generate on-device usage summaries when local logging is enabled

7. Data sharing

We do not share your workout or note data with third parties except:

• when you explicitly export or share data from the app
• when required by law

8. Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, overwrite it through restore actions, or otherwise clear it through app functionality.

9. Your choices

• use the app without creating an account
• export your data locally
• restore from a local export
• keep remote upload disabled

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to reduce unnecessary data collection and to limit the information sent off-device.

No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, especially if you export data to third-party destinations outside the app.

11. Children's privacy

Sinew is not intended for children and is not designed as a kids app.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on this page.
